Take a look at this great website - PUT TOGETHER BY OUR SCOUTS!
They can do great things when given the opportunity to lead - with your help.
Buying mulch keeps our troop running! Think of us each Spring :)
Who are Troop 950?
Troop 950 is now a mixed troop instead of two separate troops. This means that instead of voting for two SPLs as an example we only have to vote for one now. Having a mixed troop means that we have campouts and activities together, but we also aren't separated by gender for patrols. To view our next event head over to the Calendar tab by clicking the three lines in the top left corner of click here. If you have any questions, they can be answered by emailing the lead scout/adult for the event. If you are ever in doubt contact PATROL LEADER. If your patrol leader does not know the answer to your question it is their duty to take it up with the SPL or the assistant SPL.
Normal Meeting Time: 7:30 on Monday at Community Lutheran Church. Address: 21014 Whitfield Pl, Sterling, VA 20165. Please Remember to Check your email for Exact times and dates.
Our boys went caving! It was fun and educational. We learned loads about caves! (While we do not normally have all boys or girls campouts, there were no female leaders available to come on this campout, meaning it had to be all boys)
There are many ways to find someone email address here are some examples:
Talk to the person whose email address your trying to find at the end or beginning of a meeting. This may seem like an obvious option but many people go straight to the Scoutmasters or ASMs with questions. This defeats the purpose of a scout-led troop so it is highly encouraged to bring it up with the person directly.
Click on the "Reply" button at the end of emails. This will not include every scout that receives the email but just you and the person your sending it too due to BCC.
Logging in/Signing up for SCOUTBOOK, Scoutbook will be your best friend throughout scouting as your able to message people through scoutbook which will automatically send an email to the receiver.
The SPL and ASPL emails are listed under "PLC CONTACT INFO"
SCOUTS - ALWAYS INCLUDE A SECOND ADULT OR ANOTHER SCOUT WHEN COMMUNICATING WITH AN ADULT; This does not apply to online scout-to-scout conversations and/or online family conversations.
